Ibland går livet upp och ibland går livet ner. Där emellan händer kanske ingenting. Här handlar det inte om trendig inredning, harmoniskt familjeliv eller spännande resor. Här handlar det om verkligheten - mitt liv, min familjs liv - for better and for worse.

Något att se fram emot!

Har fått ett relativt klart program inför kursen i Coventry/Warwick och blir alldeles pirrig av både nervositet och förväntan.

WEDNESDAY 16 May
Meet at the University of Warwick, the reception area in the Rootes Building, between 12.00-1 pm. Some of you will come straight from an airport, others from London or a B&B nearby. From Coventry: take bus nr 12 towards ‘University’ or ‘Lemington Spa’. The bus between Coventry and the university takes ~20 minutes.
When we arrive, we will find each other and put our luggage in a store room and then we can have some lunch in the coffee shops or restaurants in the Rootes Building. Then we will be met by people from the university, and have an introductory session in a room there. Later in the afternoon, your hosts will come and collect you, take you home and have dinner with you.
In the evening, Paul Wilson suggested we go to a pub quiz at a nice pub in Kenilworth! I think that is a wonderful idea! It’s a typically English pub activity, and I am sure it will be great fun! We will also probably meet some more colleagues from the university and some local people.

THURSDAY 17 May
All day: The University of Warwick. We will go on a walk around the campus, have a workshop with Annamaria Pinter, meet some PhD students, have a lecture about the English school system and an introduction to our visit to Cannon Park School… and more…
Evening: a light dinner and drinks in Annamaria Pinter’s home

FRIDAY 18 May
All day: School visit to Cannon Park School, a primary school in Coventry
In the late afternoon we will see some sights in Coventry and have some free time for shops and tea rooms…

SATURDAY 19 May
All day: Excursion to Stratford-upon-Avon, where William Shakespeare was born and lived during periods of his life. A mini bus will pick us up in Coventry and Kenilworth in the morning, we will visit Anne Hathaway’s Cottage, Shakespeare’s Birthplace, the Royal Shakespeare Theatre and have plenty of time to walk around the beautiful little town.

SUNDAY 20 May
Morning: Excursion to the little town of Warwick to see Warwick Castle and its beautiful gardens. A mini bus will take us to and from Warwick. Finally we will have lunch together, sum up the week and say goodbye.
